The Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) covers most services. Routine eye examinations for those 20-64 years of age are generally not covered by OHIP. The Health Insurance Cards of all Canadian Provinces (now including Quebec) are also accepted where applicable.
Routine eye exams are only insured by the provincial government for individuals under 20 years of age or 65 and older. Please check with your private insurance administrator if routine eye exams are covered within your policy.
Examination for those with diabetes, cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration and some other eye conditions are insured by OHIP. We can determine your eligibility for coverage.
Please contact us if you have any further questions regarding payment. For uninsured services, we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Bank Debit Cards. Uninsured services must be paid for at the time of your visit. We will gladly complete your insurance forms promptly.
